Nottinghamshire Pick Your Own Pumpkins | Oxton
The closest big patch to the city, a few miles north off the A614, and the easiest to fit around a half-term day: free entry, free parking and no booking. You pay only for what you pick. Pumpkins, squashes and gourds come in sizes from mini to XL, and tractor rides run out to the field.
When: Daily until Sat 31 Oct, 9.30am–4.30pm (last entry 4pm)
Where: Oaks Lane, Oxton, Southwell NG25 0RH
Pumpkins: From £3. Cash and card accepted.
Good to know: Tractor rides run until 3.30pm, roughly every 45 minutes on weekdays and every 15 minutes at weekends. No dogs. The ground is grass and bare earth, uneven in places and muddy in wet weather, so think twice about a buggy. Food and coffee on site; portaloos and hand-washing too. There's no direct public transport.
