Inside Green's Windmill:

  • See the amazing inner workings of the windmill over four floors, including the grain cleaner and grindstones and learn about how our miller uses the windmill to turn grain into our award winning organic flour. Climb to the top of the mill tower and take in the views far over Nottingham.

Explore the Science Centre:

  • In our interactive Science Centre discover the remarkable story of George Green, and experiment with light, electricity and magnetism. George Green was a mathematical genius. His work led to the invention of MRI scanning machines and has helped scientists up to modern day.

Our Community Garden:

  • Our beautiful, award winning community garden features a Victorian style greenhouse, wildlife pond, vegetable beds and summer house with outdoor pizza oven. The garden is an extension to the heritage of the mill, providing an educational resource and a place for relaxation and tranquillity.

Green’s Windmill and Science Centre is an invaluable educational and heritage resource and offers two engaging and memorable curriculum based, facilitated sessions for school pupils aged between nursery and KS1. We also welcome enquiries for one-off school projects or baking days.
