Nottingham Contemporary is one of the largest contemporary art galleries in the UK, presenting free exhibitions, special events and family activities. It’s a great place to spark curiosity, whether you’re introducing little ones to art or looking for a creative day out with older children.

Families are well catered for through the gallery’s “Play & Learn” programme, all about making, creating and exploring together. Pick up a Family Explorer Bag or Sensory Bag to use in the galleries, join an early years sensory workshop for toddlers and their grown-ups, or book onto the special family activities in the school holidays. Booking is open for the October half term family activities. The early years sessions for the rest of this year are sold out, but you can join the waitlist for any cancellations.
