The Lights of Abraham - Heights of Abraham

From 21 November to 30 December 2025, the Heights of Abraham hosts its Lights of Abraham winter lights trail, open from 4pm to 8pm (last entry around 7pm). 

Visitors begin their experience with a moonlit cable-car (gondola) ride across the Derwent Valley along a festoon-lit riverside walkway. 

At the summit, you follow a glowing trail through illuminated gardens, boardwalks, and woodland paths, encountering magical scenes such as a neon forest, giant swans, interactive stepping stones, and an ice garden. 

There are food and drink options: the Vista Bar offers seasonal drinks and pizzas, the café serves hot food like jacket potatoes and hot dogs, and the Snap Tin takeaway has festive treats. Outdoor fire pits are also provided for toasting marshmallows.
